(3) Expulsion from Party membership will be proposed and voted on by Party leadership in private.

I don't like this part. I don't think that a member's fate in the party should be decided by seven or so Party Bureaucrats.

If you would like, you may propose an amendment.

I move that this section of the Bylaws be removed:

(3) Expulsion from Party membership will be proposed and voted on by Party leadership in private.

And replaced with:

(3) Expulsion from Party Membership will be proposed by a member of the Party Leadership, and voted amongst the Party Caucus. The vote will end 24 Hours after the member is proposed for expulsion, and a plurality is required to expel somebody from the Populares Party.

Libertas has appointed me his Deputy Whip.

The Populares are officially endorsing the creation of a Southeastern Assembly and a Midwestern Assembly, and will be working to create these over the course of this month. We hope others join us in this endeavor.

I just saw this and want to voice my complete support. The work to create elected legislatures for all the regions is far from finished.

I think the Midwest may lack the population to achieve this but I think its a great idea for the Southeast and I am just as firm in supporting this as I was back in June.

Nay.

We don't need to publicly display our internal riffs. If we have a problem with a member, it should be dealt with in private.

But why should the fate of a Populare be dependent on the opinions of 7 Party Leaders? If this Party stands for Liberty, than our rules and eternal workings should stand for Liberty as well.

That's not the point I'm trying to make. If we do the vote by PMs, by all means do it that way. The only point I'm suggesting is that the fate of Party Members deemed "troubling" should not be dealt with by Party Leaders, but by the Party Caucus.

How does that sound? it isint in public and it still leaves it up to the Party Caucus.
