Agree with some of the posters above.  The body and brain are necessary conditions for life and consciousness.  When the body and brain die, the individual's life and consciousness come to an end.  As an interested party, I do care about this, and I'm not happy about it, but it's true.

the existence of an afterlife cannot be proven or disproven. I know someone may attempt to argue"well what created the necessary pre-conditions for the big bang?" obviously this question does not prove the existence of an after life, but instead only suggests some unknown event occurred to create these pre-conditions, and this unknown event could be anything.
