I'd have to hold my nose and vote for Goldwater.

Javits/Rockefeller would not work - both from same state.

LOL

Why do you persist in pretending to be a "moderate" when you support George W. Bush?

LOL

Why do you persist in pretending to be a "moderate" when you support George W. Bush?

Because I agree with much of the philosophy of George W. Bush, regardless of how he or you would describe it.

Therefore you are not a moderate, but rather a neoconservative.

Your foreign policy is closer to Barry Goldwater and your domestic policy to Lyndon Johnson.

I like Campbell, but can't stand his opposition to Clinton's reasonable policy in helping to defend the freedom of Kosovo.

Don why do you still support Chafee when he's abandoned all pretense of being a 'moderate Republican'?

I don't recall the thread being Fiorinia vs Campbell, I recall it being Javits vs Johnson vs Goldwater.

Do elaborate. How is your social policy closer to Jacob Javits than to Goldwater or Johnson?

Considering that Javits supported the Great Society and Vietnam until fairly late I don't see any discernible difference other than personality (or more importantly the letter near his name).
