Does he still leave the GOP?

Does he campaign for McCain or still endorse Obama?

Does he vote for the stimulus?

Does he support the public option?

Agreed on the last three.

I actually think he would have changed parties in 2007, like Jeffords did in '01, and give power to the Democrats.  Keep in mind, had he won as a GOP in 2006, the Republicans would have had control of the senate.

I'm not sure if Chafee would have left the GOP, as the Democrats were willing to embrace him with open arms between 2000 and 2006, and he never switched. As for him voting for the stimulus, I'd say yes, but he would probably cut a lot of programs from it just like Snowe and Collins. As for the public option, he'd probably support it if he was an Independent, and would probably oppose it if he remained a Republican.
