Bill Brady is making a move in the GOP Governor's race.  Is down state enough to get him over the line this time?

The Republican gubernatorial primary map is going to be interesting. Has Ryan actually carried a single county?

Looking at the general weakness/lackluster performances of a lot of other candidates tonight, this further reaffirms my belief about Kirk being a very formidable candidate, regardless of what race he's in.

You don't think being under 60% against a bunch of complete nobodies (except for Hughes, I guess) is a lackluster performance?

Nope.  I'd have been shocked if Kirk had done any better in these types of low-turnout primaries with a lot of candidates (yes, they're nobodies, but so) that tend to be dominated by the most hardcore of Republicans.

Also - if Coulson wasn't interested in the primary race, Republicans wouldn't have wanted her running in the general election anyways.

Geez, when's the last time someone won a statewide primary with 20% of the vote?

Yeah, I forgot this was today, until, well, today. I mean, I remembered that there was a primary in the near future a couple weeks ago, but was not intellectually curious enough to look into the process of changing my polling place to my collegiate location. I probably shouldn't be posting on this forum.

Less than two thousand votes between the McKenna, Brady and Dillard. Ridiculous.

McKenna and Brady are in the conservative wing of the party and Dillard is more of a moderate, right?

edit: Brady surges ahead by 1000 votes

Geez, when's the last time someone won a statewide primary with 20% of the vote?

I'm not sure about statewide, but the 2006 TN-01 GOP primary was filled with many candidates, and the winner (David Davis) won with less than 30% of the vote.
