I feel that this question should be asked.

I'd say after 2300, but I might be wrong.

Don't know. Sadly, probably not for a very very very long time.

Yes, it will. The U.S. has already survived 234 years. It will survive 290 years more.

Never, although Taft sometimes make you wonder.

Odds are that the "United States" won't be around then, and will be part of a supranational world government, barring nuclear holocaust/asteroids/intense climate change.

Why Taft? His wife slept a lot with him and she found nothing wrong. By the way, I still think the U.S. will exist after 2300, since I doubt a world government can be truly possible with so many official languages around.

That's what 99% of people in 1910 said when asked if the U.S. will ever have a black President.

The point is what once seemed impossible could be possible in the future.

He had very large bosoms. Most of the major languages won't be in use extensively by 2300, as English continues to dominate the global scene as the language of business and diplomacy. Eventually, English will be spoken by 90% of the world's people, probably by 2150.

A lot of fat men have those. Believe me, I seriously doubt his wife would have stayed or slept with him if she had any doubts. By the way, I agree with you that a very high percentage of the world's population will speak English in the future, but I believe all countries will still retain their originial languages as an official language. For example, maybe in 2150-2200 the official languages of France will be both French and English. I think that countries worldwide might become more interconnected, but there are too many language and cultural differences to create a supranational country/entity. Believe me, many people in many countries will still desire to keep their original languages and cultures.

My first part about Taft was sarcasm. Smiley

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that nations will try to retain their individual culture and language identity; But in the end globalization will triumph. You can't possibly predict that there will never be an international state, as already have a potential instrument in the UN. The UN will probably be reformed in the coming century to stabilize economic initiative and give citizens of the world a greater voice through a Parliamentary Assembly. It will be a gradual process, but it probably will happen if we continue with the rise of FTAs and common networks and concerns for security. The differences will phase out and be remarkably less noticeable by that era, as we currently see a global culture emerging. Only time will tell.

When?

NEVER!!!!!!!!!!  NEVER!!!!!!!!!!  NEVER!!!!!!!!!!

You cannot compare having a heterosexual black President to having a transgender President.  There is no correlation between the two.

Pardon me?

Please do not throw around words like bigot so nonchalantly.

There is no bigotry in expressing that a transgender person will never be elected President.

If there was a national poll taken as to whether the public would vote for a transgender person for President, I rather suspect that a HUGE majority of Americans would say NO!

Would I ever vote for a black candidate for President?  YES!

Would I ever vote for a transgender candidate for President?  NO!

I believe BY FAR most Americans would express these same answers to these questions.

For one thing, a transgender person would not be able to survive the primaries and be taken seriously by the electorate, let alone the Presidential campaign.

I do not say this out of a sense of bigotry at all, simply out of a sense of reality.

Question for you.

Has a transgender person EVER been elected as Governor or Senator, which is where BY FAR most Presidential candidates and Presidential nominees come from?

If a transgender person cannot get elected to any of these offices, then how do you ever expect them to get elected President?

100 years ago most Americans said an African-American would never be elected President. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a transgender President in my children's and grandchildren's lifetimes.

Dogs are not eligible since none of them live to 35. That could change in the future, but no one will elect a dog.

Given how much attitudes inevitably change over time, it's extremely short-sighted to think that any given minority group will "never" gain widespread acceptance.  You're allowing your personal prejudices to blind you to this fact.
