I'm looking for a logical explanation, not some childish blabbering.

You're looking to troll, but anyway....

Kerry was a horrible candidate who would have had none of the multi-regional appeal Gore-Lieberman did. Unlike in 2004, he couldn't even depend on the Anybody But Bush effect to make him competitive.

All right, now that's a good explanation. That's all I was really looking for.

Kerry would not have done any better than Gore in real life.

I'm not so sure about that. Kerry (unlike Gore) might have encouraged Clinton to campaign for him, which could have raised his poll numbers by 1-3% and possibly provided him with the decisive margin of victory.

No. For starters, Kerry didn't have the incumbent president/VP advantage that Gore had, so it would be much harder to associate Kerry with Clinton, even if Clinton were to campaign for Kerry. Second, if the Democrats were to reject the person already in power (Gore), that would probably decrease their numbers too. I'm sure that the Republicans would campaign on that.
