Well, I support it for uninominal seats. I almost proposed the same idea to Senator Torie long time ago.

For at-large Senate election, I'm undecided now.

Has anyone bothered to PM the SoFA and get his opinion on this?

Has anyone bothered to PM the SoFA and get his opinion on this?

In what the SoFA opinion is relevant? It is not like it is a new work load for him.

Anyways, I'll vote against any reconfirmation for him. He is always away and fails to upgrade voter rolls (last upgrade is October 15).

And he has some ethics problem like selling his vote for President against a promise of being reappointed.

He haven't posted since November 10th, he probably doesn't fill conditions for voting.

You don't actually get to vote on reconfirmation.

But where is Earl? I miss him.

Well, Earl was sort of 'reconfirmed' after Lief came to power in June.

Yes. Had I been around, I'd have put a stop to that nonsense.

So, we have to lobby the President for him appointing someone else?

Earl hasn't been on in a month and we have an election coming up soon. Just replace him, or else what? We have an election with no SoFA?

We could impeach him, of course, but that would be terribly difficult.

Who else would even want to be SoFA? I mean, someone suggested they did once but I am not sure if they still would be interested.

SoFa is not that hard. You count votes, you update the voter rolls, you check if voters are filling activity requirements and you open the voting booth.

Perhaps the Lief should check if Earl is avaliable. If no answer, quickly appoint someone, since we need to confirm it before the election.

Please, Lief.

Max, I don't think you'll find many people willing to take that job. Perhaps you could do it. I don't mean that in a snarky way or anything.

You know what, I actually agree that Max would make a great SoFA. He should think about it.

Have you ever tried to find new registers and candidate declarations in those two behemoth threads? It's an utter mess and I would hate to be SoFA.

So long as Earl is good at it and does his job, I'm really fine with him in the position. Of course, this is barring any sort of debacle like the last time. We will see what happens.

Yeah, given that Earl's been gone for a month, he needs to be replaced.

I was responding more to your first line about it not being  very difficult job.

Abstain.

Not enamoured by party labels and potentially complicated ballots Tongue
