Aye. I don't really understand the big objections to what is ultimately a pretty simple bill. I also don't understand how my vote on this bill has anything to do with a Presidential run in February, but that's just me. Tongue

I love you, Bacon King. Purple heart

With the Vice President's tie breaking vote in favor of this bill, it passes.

I hereby present it to the President for his signature or veto.

Senator Hashemite, as sponsor, do you wish to attempt an override of Lief's veto?

Seven   five as we only have seven senators right now, so 5/7 equal =71%.

Senators, there is a vote to override the President's veto of this bill. A two-thirds vote (five Senators) is needed in the affirmative for the veto to be overridden. Please vote aye, nay, or abstain. Note that abstentions are considered votes against an override.

I was fixing it but you posted that and now it looks like I needed you to tell me the correct answer which wasn't the case. Time wise it would have been impossible to read your response, modify mine and then resubmit, especially when you consider I have dial-up.

As to the overide

Aye

And I don't see what is complicated to read the message than the party chair sent to the SoFA PM box and to copy the names of the parties on the ballot. What is complicated in that?

With three votes against, this override has failed. Senators have 24 hours to change their votes.

Aye, for the record
I'm still not sure what the big deal is with this, and why so many are against this.
