Looking at the Governors Race- Paterson-D will lose badly to Rudy and Pataki-R but is in a tossup race against Lazio-R. Paterson-D will lose in Democratic Primary to Andrew Cuomo-D by a landslide margin. Cuomo- defeats Lazio by a landslide. Rudy and Pataki by a double digit margin.  Looking at the US Senate-B Race- Gillibrand-D will be in a competitive Race against Pataki or Guiliani. Schumer-D is going to win by a landslide against sacrificial lamb GOP opponent. Gillibrand-D will benifit from Cuomo- Schumer coattails.

If this gets confirmed, it would really surprise me -- Giuliani is risking his political future with this.  I thought he would run for the gubernatorial race because he would certainly win against Paterson.  All we need now is to get someone to beat Paterson (shouldn't be all that hard. Smiley).

You do realize Cuomo's going to run, right?

I saw this report not long ago, though:

http://politix-politicalnews.blogspot.com/2009/11/ny-governors-race-10.html

And as was mentioned the last time you posted that crap, it is a blog with no sources nor any links, which is confirmed by absolutely nothing.

I didn't post that, by the way. Tongue

I agree with Ronnie that running here would be a foolish move. Paterson is a much softer target than Gillibrand. If Paterson gets primaried, then they're both unwinnable for the Republicans. Running against Gillibrand just doesn't make sense to me.

Giuliani is one of my favorite Republicans. I didn't like his interventionist rhetoric, but he may turn out to have been right (the surge in Iraq, and the possible success of a possible surge in Afghanistan).

Whether you like him or not, he would certainly make this an interesting election.

So, wasn't he supposed to announce "within 48 hours"? I believe we've passed that deadline.
