Well, if people aren't predestined to salvation or damnation, then how are they elect? Sure, you can say they're 'elect' because God foresaw they would believe, but I really don't see how that is actually election.

if WE have the power to make our "calling and election sure", then our election is NOT sure, and our salvation is NOT predestined.

Therefore, there can be a FUTURE judgment, in which all those who are "called" are candidates, but the final vote is NOT predetermined.
