Out of all the Democrats who are likely to run in 2016, which will have the best chance to beat President Romney and why?

President Romney?  Is going on the assumption that Mitt Romney is going to win the presidency in 2012 by any chance?  I shall of course remind you that 2012 is a long way off and as such a lot can happen in 3 years (Romney might not even win the GOP nomination and/or something could happen to him that renders him incapable of running for high office, for example).

It's common knowledge that Romney will ascend to his destined Presidency in the year 2013.

I agree. Romney might bring New Hampshire and Michigan to the GOP side. while Warner would get most the south to cross over. It would be a race between an unpopulare fmr governor vs an extremly populare fmr governor.

This is running on a lot of assumptions. I'm not entirely sure Romney could even clinch the nomination, let alone actually defeat Barack Obama in 2012. If Romney has an okay term at best, horrible term at worst, he would lost to just about any sane Democrat. Bernie Sanders and Al Franken would lose, but Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Bob Casey, etc. could all crush Romney head to head unless Romney's term is exceptional.
If Romney's term is great, which I'd doubt, Mark Warner and Evan Bayh would still make the race extremely close and either would still be favored to win, from my analysis. Romney could actually build numbers in the Northeast, but he'd lose enough votes elsewhere that it would destroy his chances. Getting 45% in Maine is pointless if you're a Republican getting 45% in Virginia or Ohio.

Herserth-Sandlin (my heartthrob on the Democrat side) and Sarah Palin (in the primary) (My GOP Heartthrob)

Romney won't win against Obama, it's not going to happen. I seriously doubt that he even wins the GOP primary.

Romney is not going to win the nomination.  Given the mood of the GOP base, I don't think they will tolerate anyone who waffled over issues important to them, particularly as it pertains to cultural issues.

Who would've predicted in 2001 that Obama would win in 2008 Tongue

Or more specifically a rich mormon governor of massachusetts who implemented a forced insurance program and advocated for bail outs. He sort of pushes all the wrong buttons honestly.

Romney won't be President in 2016. Some other Republican will be.
