I have absolutely no idea which thread to post this in, but does anyone else despise affluent suburbanites that listen to Garth Brooks, drive overpriced disgusting pickup trucks, and pretend to be cowboys/cowgirls even though they've never worked outdoors nor lived outside of a suburb in their lives? There's tons of these people in certain parts of Nebraska and I can't stand them.
I'm from America by the way, to answer this thread's question.
I tick off about half of those attributes:
✅Affluent suburbanite
✅Garth Brooks enjoyer
❌Drives overpriced truck - but I hope to do so one day
❌Pretends to be cowboy
✅Never had a job that involves outdoor work
✅Never lived outside of a suburb (though technically always in satellite towns)
It's the "Pretends to be cowboy" part that really offends me so you're probably safe for now.
the closest bar to my house is called RedNecks...in the middle of Omaha. I don't think there are that many wearing the 'cowboy gear', but certainly some....and yes cowboy posers are clowns. But are they any worse than the "thug poser" or the "fancy poser" (or surfer, skater, goth, stoner, athlete, pimp,etc)? Posers suck.
