I am a white single 58 near atheist dirty old man. I hold a license to practice law, and sometimes get paid for some facsimile of actually doing that, when I can fit it into my otherwise busy schedule of what some may characterize as  deflective hedonism. I lost a lot of weight in the last year. I am more proud of that than anything else I have done in life in some ways, because well, it was not something I had ever succeeded in doing before. I have been under a lot of stress with family issues lately. I love history, economics, sociology, anthropology, and geography, and used to love politics, but less and less now as to that. I may (or may not) add to this in due course, regarding music, books, love, passions, hatreds, neuroses, hangups, hobbies, etc. The end - for now.

     For the most part, only white Southerners identify their ethnicity as American.

It tends to be a Scot-Irish thing, and yes they tend to be more plentiful in the South.
