Health Insurance Company Regulation1. No health insurance company may deny a Midwestern citizen coverage on the basis of preexisting or previous medical conditions nor shall they drop their coverage of an individual for any reason related to their current or past medical status.
2. A health insurance company must provide any customer or potential customer with a simple outline of what their various plans will or will not cover specifically if they request one.
3. A health insurance plan must cover a person in full, i.e. a company cannot cover everything except their failing eyes.
4. A health insurance company may not adjust the costs of their plans for an individual based on a customer's previous or current health conditions, nor on the basis of their race, gender, ethnicity, age, country of origin, occupation, or sexual orientation. The premiums for an individuals plan may not be altered due to changes in their health or occupation.
5. Any health insurance company caught violating clauses 1, 2, 3, or 4 of this bill shall receive a fine of no more than $1,000,000.
