Ayotte is running a Michael Steele-style campaign, avoiding taking positions and running as an attractive personality. I doubt it will last a year of scrutiny by the voters.

So Ayotte, Obama, Biden, Napolitano and Brewer are all some form of quitters? Did I miss anyone?

Mike Johanns did it twice, once from Governor to Secretary of Agriculture, and then from AgSec to the Senate.
