RESULTS OF ROUND 25

A sad round, as El Aurens has left us: it would have been fine to have one crazy "adventurer" in stage 2... Wink
Nothing else to note...
Except that our turnout is even lower, with only 10 voters... Sad
Time to wake up, guys !

Group A: Stolypin 4, JFK 3, Tito 2, Baker 1

Uniformed reform.

Group B: T.E. Lawrence 6, Kerensky 3, Wiesel 1

"What am I doing here ?"
This actor was less fine than the other one, you know...

Group C: Mellon 5, Ortega 4, Clemenceau 1

Golden moustache.

Group D: Ben Bella 5, von Braun 4, Juan Carlos 1

Dark eyes, dark future.

Group E: Yoshida 4, Baden-Powell 3, Sartre 1, Benes 1, Togliatti 1

Fine Japanese ancestral tradition.

Group F: Zhou Enlai 6, Allende 1, Giolitti 1, Churchill 1, RFK 1

Dinner with the Devil: "WTF with this sticks...."

RESULTS OF ROUND 26

Well, sometimes, I really find it odd: James Baker eliminated over Tito... !!!
Or, if Tito is a great historical figure (which he is), Churchill shouldn't have been ousted in this first stage...
Well, well, well, do you feel my irritation ? So, no comment on the photos today ! Nah ! Grin

In a nutshell, a bad round for Anglo-American guys: 4 down.
Von Braun gathered almost a unanimous vote, which is scarcer and scarcer...
At least and at last, Daniel Ortega went away.

Group A: Baker 6, Tito 4, JFK 1

Group B: Acheson 5, Kerensky 4, Wiesel 1

Group C: Ortega 6, Clemenceau 2, De Klerk 1, TR 1, Abdullah 1

Group D: von Braun 10, Nyerere 1

Group E: Baden-Powell 5, Togliatti 4, Sadat 2

Group F: Churchill 7, Allende 2, Ben Gourion 2, Boumediene 1

RESULTS OF ROUND 27

OMG, my new rule has led to a very, very widespread vote ! And that's fine, because we can see some strong contenders for the end of stage 1: Nyerere, Qassim, Dayan, Sartre,...

Kalwejt will be happy: Kerensky is, at last, eliminated.

Group A: Giap 6 (3 in previous rounds), Dayan 6 (2.5 in previous rounds), Tito 5, JFK 5, Atatürk 2, Armstrong 2, Berlinguer 2, Papandreou 1, Aquino 1

Vietnamese boy-scouts.

Group B: Kerensky 9, de Gaulle 5, Keynes 4, Keita 3, Wiesel 2, Trudeau 2, Kreisky 2, Kook 1, Sankara 1, Spaak 1

Not really a Russian Bonaparte...

Group C: Clemenceau 12, Qassim 7, Cabral 4, Liu Shaoqi 3, McMillan 2, de Klerk 2

Tiger in the mud.

Group D: Benazir Bhutto 10, Nyerere 8, Rawlings 3, Eisenhower 3, Abd el-Krim 2, Adenauer 2, Collins 1, Stimson 1

Democracy, peace, Islam in her blood... Oh wait...

Group E: Togliatti 11, Sartre 7, Sadat 6, Fraser 3, Benes 2, Gagarin 1

Is Mediterranean gusto enough with so protecting (custodial ?) friends ?

Group F: Boumediene 13, Stauffenberg 6, RFK 4, Kenyatta 4, Kekkonen 1, Ebert 1, de Gasperi 1

Back to revolutionary basics...

This round 28 is a "usual" one.

But, be careful, in the next round (29), we will be able to vote only among history makers that will have received votes in round 28... (but who won't have been ousted in round 28, of course)

If in round 28, there is only 1 or 2 names, I'll pick the biggest vote-getter(s) non eliminated.

RESULTS OF ROUND 28

Despite a very low turnout (Sad) and despite or because of having announced that, in round 29, we'll be able to vote only for those who received votes in round 28, The votes casted have been quite widespread and the winners have gathered tiny victories:
ties (Tito over JFK, Sartre over Benes) or one-vote margin (Nyerere, Kook, Qassim).
Only Stauffenberg has seen a safe win.

Group A: Tito 3 (10.67 in previous rounds), JFK 3 (7.67 in previous rounds), Dayan 2

Queen and "king".

Group B: Kook 3, Keynes 2, Keita 2, Wiesel 1, Gorbachev 1

King of kings worshipper.

Group C: Qassim 4, Liu Shaoqi 3, de Klerk 1, Indira Gandhi 1

King's overthrower.

Group D: Nyerere 4, Rawlings 3, Juan Carlos 1, Lloyd George 1

Führer's moustache.

Group E: Sartre 3 (3.33 in previous rounds), Benes 3 (2.67 in previous rounds), Sadat 2

King or führer of minds.

Group F: Stauffenberg 5, RFK 1, Ben Gourion 1, Gramsci 1, Ridgway 1

Führer's killer.

RESULTS OF ROUND 29

6 more eliminated, including JFK !

Now, you'll be able to bring back one history maker, among the 10 latest eliminated ones...
You may hate me for that, especially when you'll see that Princip, Kerensky, Kaunda, Mountbatten, Tito or Hoover are on the lists of possible saved leaders...

For one second, I was tempted to make it with the 12 latest ones, just to include Kohl Grin, but I of course stick to my original rules... !

Group A: JFK 6, Dayan 3

"Big stick, eh ?"

Group B: Keita 6, Keynes 2

"Big stick too, eh ?"

Group C: Liu Shaoqi 7, de Klerk 1

Big communist car.

Group D: Rawlings 5, Lloyd George 3

"Tourist" leader.

Group E: Sadat 4 (7 in previous rounds), Benes 4 (5.67 in previous rounds)

Tourists summit.

Group F: Ben Gourion 4, RFK 3, Gramsci 2

Chamber revolution.

So, no Kohl, no Maggie, no Ronnie, no John Paul II back...
No Fidel, no Che either...

But no Franz Joseph !

Of course, the most horrible comeback would be Gavrilo Princip !

Please let me know if you think this "bring back" round is a good or a bad idea.

Because I've planned to use it again at the end of stage 3 (when there will be only 2 groups and just before merging in only one group) Wink.

I don't want to lose voters becazuse of this rule... Wink
Our turnout is already too low, being below 10 now...

OK, OK, I've understood.

There won't be another "bring back" round.... Wink

I hope Lewis will use this one, because he was fond of it.... Grin

And, well, if it's a way to bring back all the Ortegas of the Earth, it's no worth, even a Churchill ! Wink

Anyway, after that, stage 2 will begin, with 4 groups (and less work for me... !! It was too big a survivor, in fact...), reshuffled by Big Brother himself.

I'll try to bring other voters with stage 2 Wink

Maybe we should do a poll on how many of the people brought back in round 30 will be eliminated in round 31. Wink

Stage 2 is now open.
We will have to eliminate 20 history makers in each group (each group has 30 names), before stage 3 (with 2 groups) begin.

Please note that the votes already gathered in stage 1 will be kept and counted when there will be ties in stage 2.

Otherwise, there will be some special rules, some new, some already seen.
(but no bring back round Wink)

Enjoy this new stage !

RESULTS OF ROUND 32

Another 2 history makers come back to the tomb: Yeltsin and Shevardnadze.
But with ties, each time.
But ties with another living ded, Togliatti.
And Kerensky wasn't beaten with a big margin.

So, Kerensky, Boutros-Ghali and Togliatti appear to be threatened now.

In group I, there wasn't any suspense: Atatürk has been crushed...

And back to only 12 voters... Sad
Kalwejt, where are you ?!? Wink

Group I: Atatürk 9, Menzies 1, Kekkonen 1, Cabral 1

Even hats were westernized.

Group II: Shevardnadze 4 (10.5 in previous rounds), Togliatti 4 (9.67 in previous rounds), Wiesel 2, Nkrumah 2

"See you soon in the tomb, you b*****ds forumers"

Group III: Yeltsin 4 (6 in previous rounds), Boutros-Ghali 4 (3 in previous rounds), Juan Carlos 2, Trudeau 1, Sankara 1

"Elminated twice ? Need to drink..."

RESULTS OF ROUND 33

While Benes cruised to victory, the other groups were really suspenseful, especially between Boutros-Ghali and Juan Carlos. But Wiesel, Gramsci, Kerensky and... Kenyatta with one positive vote were all threatened.

Group I: Benes 8, Papandreou 3, Kekkonen -1, Luxemburg -1, Gorbachev -1, Cardenas -2, Allende -3, de Gaulle -3

Hold your pen up !... Oups...

Group II: Nkrumah 3, Gramsci 1, de Klerk 1, Wiesel 0, Eisenhower -1, Erhard -2, Togliatti -3

Freedom for statues fighter.

Group III: Boutros Boutros-Ghali 2, Kenyatta 1, Juan Carlos 0, Trudeau -1, Berlinguer -1, Sun Yat-Sen -1

All the power of the UN...

Group IV: Abdullah 4, Kerensky 1, de Gasperi 0, Lumumba -1, Landsbergis -1, Keynes -3

Lawrence's friends.

Of course, for the total of votes "in previous orunds" used when there is a tie, I just take into account the positive votes, i.e.:

Group I: (Benes 8 ), Papandreou 3, Kekkonen 3
Group II: (Nkrumah 4), Gramsci 2, Togliatti 2, Wiesel 2, de Klerk 1, Eisenhower 1
Group III: Juan Carlos 6, (Boutros-Ghali 5), Kenyatta 1, Trudeau 1
Group IV: Kerensky 5, (Abdullah 4), Keynes 3, de Gasperi 1

And it makes you see that this special rule has had a big effect... Allowing Kerensky to keep on... OMG, I should count, but he may be above Gavrilo Princip now in votes received...

The 2 last "brought back" history makers have been eliminated: Togliatti and... yes ! Kerensky at last !

A really quiet round... FAR TOO QUIET ! Only 8 to 10 voters Sad Sad Sad
Come and vote, guys !

Group I: Papandreou 5, Kekkonen 3

Heil Papandreou !

Group II: Togliatti 6, Wiesel 2, Eisenhower 1

Comrade Palmiro on holidays in East Germany.

Group III: Kenyatta 5, Juan Carlos 2, Trudeau 1, Ebert 1

Heil Jomo !

Group IV: Kerensky 5, de Gasperi 2, Dayan 1, Lumumba 1, Gagarin 1

Hail the chief ? No chief here...

Elie then and now.

Group III: Juan Carlos 5, Makhno 4, Trudeau 1, Kreisky 1

Jean-Charles Bourbon then and now.

Group IV: Keynes 3 (10.33 in previous rounds), Karamanlis 3 (4.5 in previous rounds), Landsbergis 1

Uncle John then and now.

The diagram was just here for fun.

Frankly, if de Gaulle or Ike are threatened soon, I'll boo even more... all the more with Indira, Monty, Armstrong, Gagarin or Kreisky still here...
Some historical figures may be not perfect but were REALLY big ones.
