Residents of the Mideast reigon. Do you want our capital do be in another big city, a place where bureacracy is high, and job efficency is low? But, there is a second option. A beautiful college campus, without the smog of a major city like Detriot. Having a capital on a college campus would raise the interest level among young people about politics and government. We can take this important step, this original step, or we can simply do what is done everywhere else and place a capital another large city such as Detriot. Detriot is on the decline, it's major industry is being outsourced, but College Park is the home to the University of Maryland, which is making a major comeback onto the national stage, and has innovative programs in many fields, including medicine and space exploration.

So, I urge you all to vote for College Park, MD, when you go to the voting booth.

The College Park for capital effort is definitly a bi-partisan one. Both gubernatorial candidates support it, and many other GOP and leftist people are in favor as well.

College Park is currently beating Detroit, 3-2.
Yes on the constitution is beating No, 3-2.

Oh come on, Detroit is clearly better! It's....bigger! And it has....diversity! And it's right on a national border with Canada! If you are 19, you can cross the bridge or tunnel to Windsor to drink legally!

And it's the home of the big 3 auto companies. You might say it is old fashioned and out of date, but cars are still pretty important to our economy, last time I checked.

Plus, we have the NBA champion Pistons...and we are Hockeytown! We have the Red Wings! Oh wait, I guess we don't right now due to the damn NHL lockout.

We have pro sports! And a major airport! And we have a very major college campus only 40 miles away in Ann Arbor. And it's a more well-reknowned University even than Maryland, I might add. Smiley It's the alma mater of the Forum's first President.

Nym, College Park is a campus to a university, so if you think it would be hard to obtain alcohol, I think you'd be wrong.

The big three auto companies are symbols of corprate greed in Atlasia, and they make crummy cars anyway, especially now that they are made in Mexico.

We have the Terrapins, who won an NCAA Championship two years ago, and the football squad, which has had 3 straight ten-win seasons. If you want sports, feel free to drive up I-95 to beautiful Camden Yards, or you can see great players like Ray Lewis play at the spectacular M+T Bank Stadium. You can also drive down it, and see the Redskins play in their new home, or you could go into Chinatown, and see the Wizards play an exciting NBA game. And coming in 2005, you can also see a baseball game in Washington. Nym, I realize you "forgot" to mention that Detriot also houses the Tigers and the Lions.

If you want to compare Michigan and Maryland athletically, we cream you in basketball, historically (We've both had our scandals) and right now. As for football, didn't you just beat San Diego State at home, by 3 measly points? We have a major airport as well, National Airport and BWI are close by. Anyway, do you want the capital to be like Shea Stadium, with planes flying in and out every 10 minutes?

If you watched Michael Moore's movie Bowling For Columbine I think you'd agree that Flint might not be a great choice. Ann Arbor was on the ballot in the first election, but it didn't get enough support.

All Mideasterners please vote in the election!  We had good turnout in the Governor's race, but so far, participation in this run-off has been poor.

BTW, I will probably abstain in the Constitutional convention vote.  But if the vote ends up tied, I WILL call the convention.
