Register to vote in the July 2-4 Atlas Fantasy election, by posting in this thread.

I figured the elections will be held the second to last weekend in the month before the President takes office......

So in February...June...and October.....and then the President takes office the first Saturday in March....July...and November....

That's 4 months apart....

Plus I think it's too early to be registering for something that takes place in the SUMMER. I mean....when will this close? You're going to keep it open for 4 months? Or will you close it in a week or two..leaving new members who sign up in late spring and early summer with no opprotunity to vote.....I think we're jumping the gun here......... Undecided

That was my thought.  Now that I think about it, shut down this thread.  Give Nym a chance to govern before he needs to worry about this crap again.  I retrct my registration.

I think we need to hold the Constituional Convention first....before anymore elections shall be held. That way we will all be reading from the same page....

Okay... I'd have to agree...

I also take back my registration.

We really should have a constitution before doing this kind of stuff.

Okay, I'm confused after reading this thread.

So here's what I'm gonna do...

I register to vote in the next election (even though--having already registered to vote once--one shouldn't have to register twice) as long as that's what the point of this thread is all about.

Or.  If we are all waiting for a constitution until we register, then I'll retract my registration until then.  lol.

But when you start thinking about it....This entire fantasy election was based with the idea that George W. Bush was the most recent president before (now) Nym90.  That would imply that before Bush, there was Clinton, Bush(41), Reagan, etc.  Which also implies that we already have a constitution....which means there's absolutely no need to create a new one.

We've already set term limits for the atlas president.  We've already had voter registration (and we can allow newcomers to the fantasy elections to register as they arrive).  There's no need for anything more.  An "Atlas Constitutional Convention" thread(s) would just be more clutter; it would be WAY overboard.

Just my $0.02.

I have called upon the president elect to make fewer threads, or call upon Dave to open a forum governance subset here.

This thing is all over the place and I ex[pect participation to suffer if you have to read through 5-10 different threads to keep up.

lets give Nym90 a little time to make some decisions and get things started.
