Michael Moore was in Madison Square Garden tonight. Is anyone happy with him for this? Is he just doing this so McCain could mention him and so he could get booed?

And he's there why exactly?

McCain gives good speeches. Too bad he has such a wacky position on campaign finance reform.

Moore getting boo-ed...now that was great. They showed Moore's reaction and I think I saw him forming an "L" for "Loser" with his hand. Now isn't he a mature guy...

Moore = a winner?
McCain = loser?

I don't think so.

I agree with what McCain said about that part of Moore's movie.  It did actually depict pre-2003 Iraq as a nation of happy children instead of that of an opressed people.

Note: I opposed and continue to oppose the Iraq war.

McCain was stupid to even allude to Moore. All it accomplished was to focus attention on Moore smiling and laughing at the Republicans' utter buffoonery.

I shut it off during Giuliani's speech because it was so bad. I'm surprised Giuliani didn't have to wipe the spittle off the podium every 10 seconds.

Sorry pal.  Anytime attention is focused on Michael Moore it doesn't help the Democrats.  You lefties are sooo out of touch...

I guess or I understand that Moore is "covering" the convention for USA Today. And what a joke that is. Especially since they wouldn't run Coulter's article on the Democratic convention... Or at least it was initially rejected, in honor of freedom of speech and freedom of press, of course.

I think McCain just put the spotlight on him, was having some fun. Moore doesn't win over any new converts, IMO, as a result of the McCain comment.

The Republicans hurt themselves with Monday's convention doings.

Did anyone see that horrible speech some prosecutor gave praising the Idiot Act? I may have seen a worse speech at some point in the distant past, but I just don't remember.

McCain said he didn't know that Moore was there. He later realized he was sitting above when everyone started booing and pointing.

Michael Moore brings out the worst in Republicans and shouldn't have even been mentioned, yet he was used a a huge slab of red meat, as he sat in his press box and taunted the crowd. Why would the GOP want this, it gives the impression of a WWF show?

Because he is a demagogue who twists and bends the truth to fit into his pre-conceived premises.

Michael Moore loves this country waayyy more than any blindly following ditto-head Republican who swallows the lies fed to them by the Bush administration.

Moore has the courage to point out the lies and to fight for the troops who are sent into harms way only to fight for the interests of the corporate elite, and for nothing else.  They die for Bush's lie.

And maybe so that you can pay a nickle less for your gas, you greedy capitalist warmongering fascists.

Q: How many Iraqis would you be willing to kill to bring the price of gas down by five cents?

Typical Republican Answer:  Duhhhhhhh.....all of em??

Moore was there to cover the convention for USA Today.  [sic]  After the fiasco with Ann Coulter, I'm surprised they agreed to his "service."

I think it was a good jab by the crowd though towards Moore.

It was a good stunt that made both Moore, the delegates, and Moore's fans happy, but it buried McCain's message a bit.

I saw him there.

It turns out he was allowed in because he had press credentials and is writing a few pieces for USA today this week.

Anyway, the McCain ephisode was very funny.

Not as far as I know, I believe the only sign he made was when people chanted "Four more years" at him he responded by holding up two fingers (not swearing at them no) and saying "two more months".

He was there on behalf of USA Today, he is reporting on the convention.

I stand corrected, but he did signal with two fingers "two more months". I saw that on the BBC

Yes, he did.  That was before he was really getting hammered by the crowd.

I have never understood why people feel the need to advertise the fact they are losers.  I mean, we all know it, why not try and pretend you have a high opinion of yourself?
