Just for the record, this election is in September and not during the Senate mid-terms (as decided by regional referendum).

But I welcome a hard-fought campaign!

MSNBC NEWS/ Richmond Times-Dispatch

Treasury Sectary hints at Gubernational Run.

In an interview with the Richmond based Times-Dispatch the former Democrat Party Chair and newly confirmed Treasury Sectary Ben has hinted that he is considering a run to replace current MidEast Governor NickG in September. When asked about  whether he considered himself a viable UAC candidate to replace NickG he replied that “it would be inaccurate for me to say that I would not be able to defeat Governor NickG and furthermore it would be unrealistic for me to claim that I had not given the idea of running some thought”, latter on MSNBC’s Meet the Press the Treasury Sectary stood by his remarks however he insisted that he was “wholly devoted to the brief that the President has seen fit to offer me and I am at present wholly consumed in considering how best to further the goals of this administration with the tools now at my disposal in this post”
