Joanna Griggs, newsreader of RININ: "Senator Hughento is about to deliver his final speech for re-election. We cross to him live in his campaign office in Daveport, IA"

*Screen fades to the Senator*

"As of today, I am no longer a senator for the midest. Hopefully in a few days I will rejoin the senate as the second representative for District Three.

I have been an active and thoughtful voice in senate affairs. I have helped amend the Boss Abortion Act, added to debates on various issues and strongly pushed for a seperate thread for governmental business. I have brought an independent voice to the senate and upheld the will of the midwest voters by not defecting to another party that I was not elected from, even though I left my party due to it's shocking and wrong leadership at the time.

The senate is a partisan affair and our nation needs someone who has shown that they can not only stand up for what they believe in, but also create a stable working relationship to attempt to get things done. Whilst many of my fellow senators have been inactive, it is not the fault of those of us who have been active that the senate is slow-members such as JFK, for example, and Michael Z, have been as active as possible and I applaud them for that.

To work effectively, the senate needs someone with strong morals, but an independent position, to represent the citizens of District Three and our nation. Someone who is prepared to take a stand on important issue, such as I did with the first Boss Abortion act, not allowing an unfair and unfinished bill to be passed, and also someone prepared to see common sense and encourage efficiency, for when I helped speed up the process of passing the drug testing bill.

I encourage you all to think before you vote-and I hope you decide to elect and Independent, for Independence.

Thank you an good night."

To all the voters of District 3, I would like to express my opinion that Hughento has done a fine job as our Senator.  If he should win this election, I will not be disappointed.  He is a good man, with good values.

I feel that I can represent our district better than Mr. Hughento.  My reasons for thinking this have already been stated in several other threads, so I will not bore you by repeating myself.

Please think about who will best represent you, then vote.

I am personally torn between these two candidates. They are both fine men. I'll try to think of some questions to ask.
