"Its an intriguing possibility in my view... one of those "what ifs"... had both McCain and Bradley won their party's nominations and faced off against one another who would you have voted for? And who do you think would have been their running mates?..."

Decided that it would be best to move this from fantasy elections to the 2000 section so have fun........

As of right now I have not made up my mind. I met both candidates many times in 2000, and both had great campaigns. I remember when my parents made up their mind to vote for McCain, because they knew they could stand Gore, even though they liked Bradley better. I went to a McCain rally outside our town hall and their was confetti and all, and it was something to be excited about. McCain and Bradley both had really small-scale meetings which was great compared to Bush and Gore's, and this time Kerry's, use of high school gymnasiums.

I have two Bradley stories. My uncle played college basketball for New York City College. He played against Bradley, and said he  was better than him. My second story happens at a Bradley rally before the primary. I was 11 at the time, and I decided to ask Bradley a question. I asked him something like, "What is your policy on education?" A teacher who attended bought me a 2XL Bradley sweatshirt, which I haven't worn since.

As for the voting, it depends on the tone of the campaigns, the VP picks, the media coverage, and my mindset in November, were I able to vote. They would both have made great presidents.

I like both candidates, but contrary to popular belief, McCain is not a "liberal" Republican so to speak, he's actually quite conservative. Bill Bradley fits in with my views a little more. I really like both candidates, but I'd go with Bradley.

McCain, this one isn't even close.  The Gore v. McCain scenario I would have to think about, but this is a no-brainer.

Something about McCain makes me all fuzzy inside. Smiley McCain seems like he would and can go beyond partisanship/ideology and talk in a practical matter.

America would be so much better off if McCain would have been President the last 8 years. Bush and company ran the White House, and got too cocky. There would be a Republican president now, if they had followed McCain.
