Democracy Corps (D)

Standard partisan poll caveats apply, but this is a very good firm and this poll is worth a look.
They have "juiced" their likely voter screen a bit, but not too bad...

http://www.democracycorps.com/reports/surveys/Democracy_Corps_September_26-28_2004_Survey3.pdf

John Kerry : 44
Lean Kerry : 2
Total Kerry : 46

George Bush 48
Lean Bush : 1
Total Bush : 49

Party ID in this poll was 4o/38 to the dem side, or when you count the party "leaners" it was 50/46 to the Dem side

Just out of curiosity, when was the last national poll, Dem. Rep. OR Ind., that had Kerry ahead of Bush?

When was the last national poll that had Kerry ahead of Bush outside of the MoE?

TIPP had Kerry +1 yesterday.. Smiley

I think an Internet thing (YouGov) had him +1 a week ago also

Zogby had Kerry up outside MOE (+7) in mid August

This is just an assumption, I know, but it feels like that the week of Sept. 13-17 roughly, Bush's lead from his bounce weakened a tiny bit (1, maybe 2%), then in this past week, Sept. 20-24 continuing through the weekend, it appears to have regained back that (1, maybe 2%) which he lost.

I wonder if any of this had to do with Kerry's stupid Allawi remarks last week.  Just hypothesizing.

Could be. How did the Old Media spin that, though?

They didn't, as far as I know.  Joe Lockhart went and added fuel to the fire, though.

I guarantee Bush will buzz Kerry on his Allawi comments tomorrow night. Everyone watching will be aware of what he said.

I can't believe Kerry, being as "smart" as he is, would say something so stupid as that, especially infront of the camera.  Yeah, he might be right, but he needs to learn some tact . . . BIG time.  Maybe he and his wife could get professional training together.
