A lot of debate if RFK could beat Nixon or not.  But with Wallace I am sure disliking RFK, would Wallace have decided to have sit out in 1968, thus Nixon getting the Deep South?

Wallace probably hated Humphrey as much as he hated RFK.

If Wallace ran against a man who despite vicious personal rivalry, had fairly similer aims (Wallace's stance on race was pure vote grabbing) he would certainly have run against RFK.

And he would have done a lot better as well

Wallace ran in 1968 to oppose Eastern Intelectuals. RFK was an Eastern Intelectual, so Wallace would have still ran.

Robert Kennedy vs. Richard Nixon vs. George Wallace could have easily went to the House. Than Bobby Kenendy would have been elected in the House.

It is well known that Wallace bore utter contempt for both HHH and RFK.

And he in favor of segregation too, don't forget that.

Which, it's true, he did see Eastern intellectuals as a threat to.

Haha. That may be, but it doesn't make it any better.

I think PBrunsel's on the right track, although I believe the electoral college would have safely ushered in RFK.

Yes, he still would have won and his tough stance on foreign policy would have won my vote as well.

The cynicism of politicians back then is in a league all of it's own... in fact cynically using something abhorrent that you don't actually support to win votes may be morally worse than using something abhorrent that you do support to win votes.
