Sorry fellow Republicans but if the race were held now I would have it:

Kerry: 291 EV
Bush:  247 EV

well, it really depends on whether you're a Democrat or a Republican.  Democrats think Kerry will win and Republicans think Bush will win.

The total could add up to less than 538 if electors abstain or vote for other candidates (like 1972 or 2000).

Same as 2000, but NH goes for Kerry.

Ohio and Florida determine the election.

Light Touch, that is exactly my realistic prediction.  Smiley

Fantasy prediction is if Cali flips for Bush.  hehehe . . . I'd be as good as Zogby if that comes true.  hehehe

Kerry 270
Bush 268

Everthing is the same as 2000, except
Kerry wins New Hampshire and Arkansas.

Kerry 291
Bush 247

Kerry keeps the Gore states, but gains New Hampshire and Florida.

This ignores any "problems" with electronic voting machines, which I suspect will effect Kerry more than Bush, at least in Florida.

Actually, I had Bush winning for a while.

But, I digress.

California...a toss up?  I admit there was a recent close poll, but that is probably not representative of California.  Kerry has been way ahead in CA for the last several weeks.  There probably wasn't a sudden 7 point shift there.

If there's a Paypal for placing bets, I'd be glad to bet that Bush won't get more than 350 EVs.

(damn!!  I wonder if I just gave away a multi-million dollar idea.....)
