JFK just posted in another thread that he'd like people who are interested in being Sec'y of State or Treasury to step forward and announce some interest.

Any takers?

If the president wants me to take the job, I would love to participate in government.

If the Senate didn't have more power than the cabinet I would go for something, but...no. Tongue

My thoughts:

For State, Wildcard (UAC-CA)
For Treasury, Hermit (UAC-TX)

Hermit would do a good job, but I feel Dubya's stubborness and offensive views make him ineligible at least for the position of sec. of state.

I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in; I'm not sure where things are at right now, so pardon me if this is superfluous:

Being an expert in any area of government isn't required.  So long as you're interested in learning it and bring good thinking skills with you...as far as I'm concerned there's nothing stopping you from being successful at the post.

Some exposure to the fields of interest sure won't hurt!  But basically the most important thing you can bring to the job is your occasional attention.  Dealing with the stuff and problems I send you (so you can send fewer problems to the president) on a twice-to-thrice weekly basis is just about perfect.  If you're involved and taking your office seriously...then I'll do everything I can to make sure you're having fun, and that the game isn't taking away from your other Fantasy politics interests or your offline world either.
