Delaware would go for Bush before Maryland would.

So NJ won't go Republican but Maryland can? Hmmmm. Or was that a typo?

Looking a bit like the '88 map - I like it. I'm a tad less optimistic. But I would like to see some more reliable polls out of the mid-Atlantic region. ARG or S-USA had a poll not long ago out of MD that had it tied at 48, I think. An outlier, but I wouldn't mind having that confirmed. And I would like to see a DE poll. I guess they figure it's Kerry's because the people up and down the coast are Democrat and Wilmington is Democrat and that doesn't leave a whole lot else Smiley but I would like to see a poll out of there.

Interesting how Bush's father won his first election in a landslide and lost reelection. Whereas Bush lost his first election, and is winning his reelection in a landslide. Wink

Gore is Clinton's vice
Kerry is Dukakis's lt

Even on a really bad day, MI is likely to go to Kerry; so is DE.  With those two changes, this would be Kerry's waking nightmare.  It's possible IF his campaign collaspes; I'd say there is about a 10% chance.

If Bush wins NJ and MD, he wins DE and WA as well.
Oh, wait, he's not winning NJ or MD.

Virginia and North Carolina will not go for Kerry even if a Bush scandal shows up in newspapers across America a few days before the election. The rest of that is possible.

I'm not predicting a landslide for either candidate and I don't intend to make my full prediction until November 1.

It will be state-by-state with estimate vote shares for both Bush and Kerry.
