What would an all-time Senate look like? Two Senators from each state, from any time in US History.

I've got to disagree with you in some places. Sarbanes should replace Gorman and Goldwater should replace Hayden.

Was George Mitchell from Maine? If so, he should be considered.

I've been looking at everything historically and objectively. I will finish up my All Time Senate in the next post. Besides, I never cared much for Goldwater one way or the other.

No Langer? No McCarthy? No Calhoun?Huh
I think there are a few omissions from the list but then again it's better than anything I could've done.

That's a pretty good list, a few disagreements here and there, such as RFK, he only served 4 years. And John Edwards I'm not so sure about.

Which McCarthy? If you mean Joe McCarthy, then I would have to say HELL NO! But, if you meant Gene McCarthy, he was considered, but I decided on Wellstone. In regards to RFK. Why not? Who said I had to pick the people who served for a long time? I picked the body I felt would be the most dynamic, forward-thinking, and all in all great people. There were many under my consideration in many states. Calhoun was under heavy consideration, but since Hollings served longer, I did go with him.

But, you have to admit. It was a pretty good list done all in one setting. *Flashes devil may care smile*.

I feel that Church and Borah were the best Idaho had. They accomplished the most, and were there the longest. Let's see who you would have, Mr. Fresh.

is Bayard, Jr. or Sr.?  How about a special award for the Bayard family.  Also Delaware should get a special achievement award for their senatorial representation in the 57th Congress.

Substitute William ROTH (R) and John WILLIAMS (R) for Bayard and Biden.
