We just had a presidential election and already people are thinking about the next one.  So maybe we should have a constitutional amendment that provided for presidential elections every two months.
Do yall like the idea?

Why not?  The elections are the biggest thing we do here, and it'd give us more stuff to do.
People are already planning for an election that's four months away.  If they were every 2 months, it'd be more legit to do so.

But it's more interesting if some of the elections are midterm elections, with no presidential race to take the spotlight.

Some of the elections ARE midterm elections.  We have midterm Senate elections in 2 months.

I know, which is why I think there shouldn't be a presidential election every 2 months.

I agree with the Boss, more emphasis on primaries. It's one of the few times when people won't always vote along party lines, since it's all in the same party. This election, the UAC is going to have a public primary (probably closed, but the first round may be open, just have little impact on the actual results) and it will hopefully be a competitve one.

There is no time for presidential elections every two months. The new (OR RE-ELECTED) president has to take office, then midterms, then mid-term elections, then primaries. NO TIME.

Amazingly, i actually agree with reganfan. The game is going at te right speed as is.

Plus the four years-four months axis works well Smiley

every two month would be good if we didn't also have the senate and the primaries, and ONLY had the Presidential election. but I think having the senate and the primaries makes everything more interesing Smiley

I disagree, we now actually have many elections, we have five gubernatorial elections, ten senatorial elections and a presidential election, these are all spaced out over four months.

That is 16 elections, that seems adequate to me and I think we have moved more towards fantasy government now than just fantasy elections and with only two month terms, that doesn't allow for much governing.

I am pleased with the way things are currently going but I would agree that more primaries should be held and make them a bigger deal, hopefully each party will have a few people vying for the nomination.

I like that idea.  Every two months is better than every four months or however we've got it worked out now...

The whole point of this board, pretty much, is holding elections.  Once the president has been elected, there isn't a whole lot to do......
