My fellow Atlasians,

As you all know, I have been in a very awkward situation defining myself in this forum. This is clearly a result of my very conservative social and foreign views, but at the same time having some fairly liberal views. I’m clearly not a Leftist; I will not stand to ever such liberal social views, most if not all I disagree with. I am not a Centrist, as most of my views are much farther to the right. I initially became a Centrist because of the corruption and puerility of the Republican Party. The Republican Party has changed, and I most likely identify my beliefs most closely to the Republican Party, but nonetheless, I am not a Republican either, as their party is in its beginnings, and thus unstable.

As the presidential election has come to its end, I have made the decision to leave the United Atlas Centrists, and become an independent. I feel that becoming an independent conservative will end my tendency in placing a figure on parties as radical or diverse, simply because I am a member. But besides helping others, this will also give me more of an ability to identify the problems in the Atlasian government without having to stand for an entire party. This will also give me more freedom to express my views without the conflicting views of the parties.

This of course will not restrict me for running for positions. I intend in the near future to begin running to hold political positions. I had run for governor of the southeast region, but I had decided at the last minute to temporarily refrain from forum politics. However, over the past few months I have been more involved.

Thank you John F. Kennedy for being so supportive of the two latest decisions I made in party switches- joining the UAC, and now leaving it. Also, thank you to the Republican Party, who has been constantly welcome towards the possibility of me joining their party. Let no one mistake that I am leaving the partisan systems for ever, as I intend on joining a party in the future. But at this time, my goal is pursuing political positions as an independent conservative.

Thank you all, congratulations Gustaf, and Dave Bless Atlasia.

I respect your decision, Brambila.  I hope that you will still be willing to support UAC candidates, and of course that you can find a niche on the ideological spectrum where you feel comfortable.

Good for you; It's great to see another independent. I can't lie and say I hope to see you in the senate soon, but I am totally truthful when I say I hope you continue to participate strongly in this forum's debates.

One great thing about being an Independent is that you can bag anyone that needs bagging. If Gus, Nym, or a senatorial collegue does something bad, instead of just biting my tongue because they are in my party, I have the ability to openly disagree, and to point out flaws, such as the ones in the original Boss Abortion Act.

I wish you the best in your independent political life, and I am glad to see the right is prepared to have independents too.
