Huckabee never really had any money in the 2008 primaries, and a lot of that has been cut off by Palin's presence among the grassroots culture warriors still mentally trapped in the 60's, everyone knows the WSJ-reading crowd hates Huck, and they're the ones with the thousand dollar check

It means that they were firing Dooley, but Sarah Huckabee didn't want to admit that, but then when the reporter asked her directly if Dooley was being fired, she said yes.  Amusing.

Huckabee never has been nor will he ever be a serious candidate for the big leagues.

He's small potatoes.

Looks like Huckabee raised $300,000 in the first half of the year, less than one fifth of the total raised by Romney:

Here is more on Huckabee's PAC's financial statement for the first six months:

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0709/Huck_PACs_fundraising_numbers.html

The PAC has slid a bit deeper into the red in the first half of 2009, "while contributing only $17,500 to candidates – which is, of course, the express purpose of the PAC and other so-called leadership PAC’s that usually spend far more money promoting the politician leading them".

Huckabee's daughter Sarah was paid $29,250 in salary (for the first six months of the year), as she's the executive director of the PAC.  Also interesting....three of the six admins on the Huckabee 2012 Facebook page have the last name Huckabee:

Romney's Free and Strong America PAC raised $1.6 Million dollars in the first 6 months of the year.

Huckabee is a sleezy backwoods populist. This is probably the same way he ran the Governorship. Enriching his family through his PAC. This is the same kind of thing that the GOP got murdered for doing under Bush and Delay, do we really want to go through that again?

The sad part is that Huckabee is the most appealing(well so far it seems so) of the "big three". Romney might have fundraising abilties but so far he really seems to have little ability to appeal to swing voters according to many polls. Palin is just trash.
