This match-up is kinda pointless, because next month it'll emerge that Pawlenty has been banging a Norwegian woman while claiming to be skiing in the Rockies.

In all reality, Obama would slaughter Pawlenty.  Not unless something really bad happens.

Policies aside, he's just a pretty boring guy. I don't know how else to put it.

And it's not like he would overperform in the Midwest, because Obama is from the midwest as well. Pawlenty could carry Minnesota, but Wisconsin and Iowa would still lean Obama.

No he wouldn't carry Minnesota. Obama is far more popular than Pawlenty here, Pawlenty is currently at net disapproval.
