In the real world or the West Wing world? For some reason the West Wing political world makes no electoral sense. Bartlett won the Dakota's and Louisiana? Santos won South Carolina? Anyway, Here is my map in the real world.

Here is my Vinick wins map:

Vinick: 365
Russell: 173

Here is my Russell wins map:

Russell: 297
Vinick: 241

Here is my Santos vs. Vinick map, but made more realistic:

Santos: 276
Vinick: 262
Closest Democratic Wins: Nevada, Arizona, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida
Closest Republican Wins: California, New Hampshire, Missouri, Texas, Virginia

In the West Wing world. I remember that Josh on Election Night 2006 said "How can we be up in South Carolina and be behind in Vermont?" Another thing unrealistic about that election was that Vinick was ahead in Illinois by a decent margin up until the San Andreo nuclear accident, despite the fact that Santos' running mate Leo McGarry was from Illinois.
