For those of you who like old stuff, here is a statewide precinct vote for President for Washington 1896.

http://www.scribd.com/doc/18490862/1896-WASHINGTON-Precinct-Vote-for-President

Unfortunately because of some weird reporting requirements, 1892 President can not be done statewide from records, because I would LOVE to do that one!  This year is so bad I could not even find complete precinct level results for Spokane in the Spokane papers.

Interesting that Palmer was the official Democratic nominee.

Very cool. Smiley

I also noticed the Palmer thing... He isn't even listed as a candidate here on the Atlas. Strange...

Up through 1936 in Washington, the Republicans were always listed first and the Democrats second.  It's my opinion that this was partially a method to siphon some votes off of Bryan.  If you look at the results, I think in some places it worked.
