Bill Clinton (his first-term suckage didn't really come in until later)
George H.W. Bush (didn't do very much, which is a good thing by my book)
Barack Obama (I'm fond of most of his hot-button issue stances as a step in the right direction)
Ronald Reagan (his first hundred days was an extended budget battle with the congress)
George W. Bush (record for the most days off prior to September 11th)

depends what the repercussions of Obama's actions thus far will be. But he could have done a hell of  a lot worse.

I don't know if I'd have Obama topping the list, partially because times suck so much.  But I also have to count off for things like the Daschle mess, a completely unforced error.

100 days isn't enough time for anything serious to be implemented, so it's a 5 way tie.

How do you figure that?

How do you figure that?

It took about 15 days for Congress to "rush the stimulus through."  If 15 days is rushing, then 100 days in no-hurry-you-have-four-years pressure is nothing.

And really, it takes awhile for most measures to have any effect on the people.  More than 100 days. They could completely rewrite every page of the tax code tomorrow as an earmark and we wouldn't see the results for months.  Maybe even years.

This is a partisan list? A moderate-to-conservative on top, followed by a moderate-to-conservative Republican in second?

Here's how I would rank their first 100 days:

1. GW Bush
2. Reagan
3. GHW Bush
4. Clinton
5. Obama

Bush actually had a very good 100 days.  Considering the divisive circumstances of his elevation to the Presidency, he managed to lay the foundation for most of his agenda to be put into effect by year's end.

Reagan didn't have most of big accomplishments of his first year until late summer.  The tax cut was not passed until July, iirc, and the air traffic control strike was in August.  The big for him in his first 100 days was the release of the hostages, which was as much an Iranian attempt to insult Carter as it was anything else.

I can't recall a signle thing of significancethat occured during Bush 41's first 100 days.

Bill Clinton's first 100 days are famously disastrous.

Obama's first 100 days may be remembered as the worst anyone has ever had.  The budget deficit is already causing serious strains on the economy that most people are only beginning to feel.  The deficits will be what Obama is most remembered for, they will be what costs him re-election, they will be the reason history will record him a failure, and they will cripple the country for a decade.  Not since Rutherford B. Hayes has a President done so much damage so quickly for such bad reasons.  The fact that Congress approved of Obama's poor decision making does not mean his first 100 days were a success.  If getting Congress to vote for your agenda were what made a President great, Lyndon Johnson would have been carved on Mount Rushmore by now.

Here is how I would rank them as Presidents (Except Obama) overall:

1. Reagan
2. GHW Bush
3. Clinton
4. GW Bush
