he's the first person I've ever met who actually has a negative view of Warner's term as Governor

Did you ever run into MODU?

Officepark probably only knows the names of about three or four Virginia Governors, much less anything about them. Just ignore him, Ben.

He claims to be a Virginian, and he's the first person I've ever met who actually has a negative view of Warner's term as Governor, so I'd like to know why.

I said that my opinion of him is neutral, and not negative.

He and I never discussed Mark Warner, as far as I can remember.

Reading MODU's comments on Warner over the past year, it seems that his complaint with Warner was due to an unnecessary tax hike at the end of his term that resulted in a $2 Billion tax surplus that the state could not refund.  The state had to allocate those funds towards spending projects which became a financial burden the following year when tax returns were not as high.

He had a good comment on why Warner should not be Obama's pick for VP since Warner could lock the Senate seat for the Democrats.
