Franzl,
This is highly a compliment to yourself.  This senate has worked incredibly well together, it is important for the people to understand this.  We cannot let the senate slip back into a state of insults and uncooperative behavior. 

The fact that we accomplished something with a right-wing, moderate, and left-wing senator orchestrating the compromises is truly spectacular and something that hasn't happend since my first term

Oh I agree, it's really great that we're getting such diverse cooperation.

We've had lots of bills that pass with supermajorities.

Just look at the Help Atlasian Study Act of 2009....which increases taxes and increases government spending.....but with a regional compromise promoting federalism, we got 9(!!) senators to support the legislation.

A similar compromise was made on the Environmental Act...and I'm happy that we came up with a solution to that. I definitely would have opposed attempts to eliminate it, but some changes were perfectly legitimate, and I'm glad we voted for them.

So yeah, you're right, this Senate really does work well together.
