It would probably depend on how one defines "good Muslim".  Do "good Muslims" do what he did here to get himself suspended/banned?  I would hope not, but I don't know what makes somebody a "good Muslim".  We get a lot of mixed signals from them.

Does he tithe ridiculous amounts of income to the poor?  Not applicable.

Wouldn't tithing just be 10% of income? You sound like you tithe larger amounts, which wouldn't be tithing anymore.

No, you're right, it's not called tithing.  I looked it up and it's less than I thought: every year it's 2.5% of total wealth + 2.5% of goods used for trade + 5% of crops harvested (which I assume would translate into income in the modern world).

I was going to say that too. They should have just banned him outright instead of pussyfooting like this. Or perhaps there is a sunset clause on this semi-ban?
