should be legal.

and if we stopped caring about crap like that, we wouldn't be facing an 18% soda tax and a 4% iTunes tax.

^^^^^^^^^

The fact that he cheated on his wife does make him slimy, (The fact that it was with a prostitute itself doesn't bug me, but the adultery does), but the fact still remains Spitzer's the better governor.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn, that's big news

How will this affect Paterson's choice?

Where is Spitzer's weakness?

Hmmm, I'm thinking Gillibrand, Brown, and Suozzi's stock just went up.

Even if you believe that, you should be disgusted at the man's moral crusade against prostitution as he was seeing a prostitute.

Good point, his hatred against Coleman is primarily based on Coleman switching from a young pot dealer to an anti-medical marijuana conservative.  How is Spitzer's hypocrisy any diff?

hypocrisy rather than devolution

and I don't *like* Spitzer but simply see him as preferable to the alternative(s).  and opposition to medical marijuana is just cruel/evil.  and etc.

I'm pretty sure Spitzer still supports making prostitution illegal though as a policy position, like Coleman, thus resulting in hypocrisy after devolution.   And it's not like Dupre was the first one.  He was probably hooking up with hookers WHILE he was arresting other prostitution ringleaders.

does Al Franken support making/keeping groping women on trains illegal?  probably.  you're missing the point a little.  hypocrisy is rampant in politics.  as are synthetic positions.

all I have said is that Spitzer is preferable to Paterson.  the issue at hand in March wasn't his hypocrisy but rather his sins.  Coleman's change-up on marijuana isn't a be-all, end-all unfit for office strike either.  (although opposing medical marijuana is far more destructive than is opposing prostitution)

Fair enough, you just seemed to indicate that it was sort of a "be all - end all" against Coleman.

Eh, it's what politicians do. Sen. Santorum crusaded against trial lawyers while his wife filed a lawsuit to squeeze money out of a defendant.

Yes, his wife. The situation is a bit different. I will admit, though, that I remember Santorum's explanation and it wasn't that pleasing.
