Since the issue of the day was tariffs, I would've voted for the pro-free trade candidate, Winfield Scott Hancock.

Which leads me to Garfield.

This poll is worthless without the option of Weaver. Any candidate who gets over 2 percent of the popular vote (Weaver took 3.3 percent and was a serious factor in the race's outcome) should be included.

I probably would've voted for my fellow Pennsylvanian, Winfield Scott Hancock.
