No, I would not; and, as I indicated in my update, I would have voted for Reagan. Anderson's economic plans seem faulty. Reagan's weren't that great, either, but they were far superior to Anderson's or Carter's.

Not at the time; Smith had a strong progressive record as NY Governer (making improvements in working conditions, housing etc. and trying to end child labour).

Probably Democrat straight down-the-line with the exception of McGovern in 1972. Richard Nixon would have gladly received my support

Of those Republicans, I like Teddy Roosevelt and Eisenhower - and could possibly support them in retrospect - though had I been living in Georgia back then, it's likely I'd have still been voting against Sherman!
