Earlier this evening, I received news that my grandfather passed away this evening.

In addition to being my grandfather, he was a Second World War veteran who served in the European Theater and saw action at D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge among others, with the United States Army 84th Infantry Division.

He was 83 years old

So me and my family need prayers right now.

May his soul be in a better place and may he rest in peace.

You will absolutely be in my prayers.  I lost my grandfather at the beginning of October, so I have at least some idea of how hard this must be for you.

This has been quite sudden and unexpected for me even though he has had serious health concerns for a while.
