CNN will begin live coverage of Election Day at 5:00 am Eastern, 4:00 am Central with American Morning.  That also happens to be the time when Vermont opens its polls.

FYI

I don't know what we would have done without CNN covering the first hour of polls being open in Vermont.

CNN has already begun their election day coverage.  They already have a countdown to Indiana and Kentucky poll closings up.

I know, I'm watching their "View from the Right" special right now.  Kinda interesting.  The timer they have up is for the EST portion of IN and KY.  I was just talking about the actual day on Tuesday.

Thanks for the information Jeff Smiley

If only CNN actually had good political experts on their election day programming then I might have watched CNN all day (it will be for myself and other Australians on the board anyway). It looks like I might be sticking to SBS on election day! At least they're better than CNN.

I assume they'd cover the first votes in Dixville Notch, NH at midnight on election day.

Though doesn't early voting kinda make that meaningless now?

Oh CNN, how you make me chuckle.  They remind me of a child who tries so hard to get the attention and praise they want but they never get it so then they try even harder.  Its like they're screaming to be noticed.  "Look at us!  Look how good our coverage is!  We have maps and countdowns and analysts!  Our coverage is so good that we'll be reporting live from every polling location across the country from dawn til dusk!  Its actually so thorough that if you Tivo our election coverage there is a 95% chance you'll see yourself or someone you know voting on our network!"

I will be soo freaken glad when this is over, although I would feel sick if Obama lost because of race.  McCain does not deserve to win the election most people voting for him are anti voting based on race.  Maybe iam wrong and Obama support will drown out racsim.
