Yes but that angry man who talks street, what about that image he has all over the country now?

There was an article on CNN yesterday saying how Obama doesn't look angry and how he shouldn't be the angry black man.

I forgot that Obama talks "street" all the time. I remember last week when he said said "yo bp executiveeee im gunna fuk u up dawg lik dat n1gga duwn da stweet, uz beta get uz sh1t tagetha"

Excellent points Derek. He's an incredibly insane black guy from Illinois who has not a clue what hes doing. He's probably a socialist, a nazi, a muslim AND a terrorist too!

I wasn't going that far. I don't need an article on CNN or any other news network to tell me what to think though.

I just thought it was interesting. The media tells you what to think about, not what to think. It's very good at agenda setting.

Obama looks like an angry man who talks street and that's all that America will base their judgment off of. They see what they see and only elitism would suggest otherwise in today's day and age.

Derek:

It's funny how we blame politicians for everything bad that happens-the crisis, the oil spill, and so on. I believe that their duty is to work for us and solve our problems, but man, there are certain situations when you ought to be more understanding! It's natural that those people who have lost their jobs or whose lifestyle is endangered feel angry and want to make someone responsible for their own disgrace, but I think that you're just trying to use this as an electoral weapon and that's despicable. I don't even think that you believe in what you're saying-if so, you're very mistaken.

Something similar happened here in 2002, when an oil tanker called Prestige sank and caused a huge spill. Everyone blamed the government for this, because they could have prevented the accident, but their intervention was late and clumsy. But as far as I know (I'm not very well informed, though) that's not the case there in the US. All this is BP's fault but as always, big corporations manage to avoid their resposibilities and put the blame on the government. This seems shameful to me!

Obama will be the one trying to use this as a political tool. All I'm doing is pointing out that Obama sounds like an angry man who talks street.

Obvious troll is obvious... except to the posters of this forum!

If you're not here for a while and don't know what a user's attitude is like, how can you possibly know if someone's a troll by reading two of his post?

 Anyway, thank you Mr. everyone's-dumb-here-except-for-me.

BP executives made the President look like a fool for pulling the wool over his eyes. They would have pulled the wool over the eyes of any but the paranoid. They made themselves look worse by lying, and they could be in deep personal trouble for lying to government officials on matters of occupational safety and environmental law. People go to federal prison for similar deeds.

This oil disaster will be solved by engineering solutions. President Obama is not a trained engineer. He is a mainstream politician. Would it have been appropriate to give America a populist tirade immediately after the blow out? I think not.

Yes, BP intentionally have drug their feet because they love bad pr.

Well I doubt that BP intentionally drug their feet, but due to evading bad PR (by not immediately saying how bad the spill was), they got bad PR anyways.
