Maybe I don't watch enough TV but I haven't seen any swift-boating type ads against McCain or Obama.

Is it going to be a benign campaign season when it comes to the attack ads?

Yes, and there has already been one or two up in the Great Lakes area.  I remember the news talking about it before the DNC convention.  I don't remember which group it was though.

They had an Ayers ad. Is that still up? Another group is running an ad in Macomb Co. trying to link Obama to Kwame Kilpatrick.

How does an Ayers ad equate to a Swift Boat ad? While the Swift Boat ads were attacking Kerry's service, there was nothing wrong with questioning why Obama was hanging out with a self-admitted terrorist.

He was also his neighbor and they describes their relationship as "friendly." I'm sure they've seen each other more than just one event. And the fact that Obama held a campaign event at all with a terrorist who said he didn't do enough to destroy parts of this country is bad enough.

The Swift Boat ads were totally different. It was wrong to attack Kerry's vietnam service. It's not wrong to question why Obama hangs around with William Ayers.

Of course, the left will ignore this ad or let it run. I hope it does because it will backfire much worse than the Swift Boat ads did.
