Sarah Palin was no stranger to me, but how her selection has played out is quite a surprise.  I figured Conservatives would love her and Moderates would hate her.  Uh-uh.  Moderate Republican women at least in the Midwest and Northeast seem to be ecstatic about her, whereas Conservatives who are anti-Republican in the first place seem to find whatever reason is convenient to hate her.

I know a few true Independents, and I admire them, a lot.  But most Independents are like candidates in nonpartisan elections:  partisan Republicans and Democrats who shy away from labels.  Sarah Palin oddly enough makes those labels manifest like birthmarks.

Curious how this compares or contrasts with experience elsewhere.

There's absolutely no evidence supporting that statement.

Tell me a way to link you to all the pro-choice Republican women I know, and I will.
