Nixon was the newest guy kicked off the island. His escalation of the Vietnam war into Cambodia, along with his involvement in the Watergate Hotel break-in did not endear him to the judges.

Now, with 21 men left, it's your choice as to who stays, & who goes. Be aware that 1/2 of the Presidents have now been eliminated. Now with numbers denoting the order in which they were voted off, per Torie's suggestion.

I changed more rules regarding tiebreakers in order to avoid future confusion. The changed content in the rules is still bolded. The rest is still DanimalBR's work.

I also changed a few of the following rules to make it easier for me.

To add, if I'm not online & the next topic is not open yet at or soon after midnight, Xahar, or anyone else of my choosing, can open the next one. If he's not available either, & it opens more than six hours late, the deadline will be pushed back a day to give everyone a fair chance to vote. Per the rules, this will close at the end of the day of Saturday, August 23th, 2008.

Can someone please explain why we bumped W.H. Harrison off and not Garfield?

Anyhow...I'll go with Van Buren.

Grant protected the freedmen. He deserves to stay on a little longer. So Martin Van Buren.

Van Buren was one of our better Presidents, overall....he just happened to come after Jackson.

Grant was a great general, and a great memoirist, but one of our worse Presidents.

So, I vote to kick Grant off.
