I finally have a job!!  I found out Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 16:15 CDT that I will be working at Oklahoma Natural Gas in Downtown or Southwestern Oklahoma City.  I will most likely be starting Monday, August 11, 2008 with a possibility of Thursday, August 7, 2008.  The pay won't be the highest I've ever been paid, but that is in trade for good benefits and most importantly, JOB SECURITY.  Utility companies are always going to be in need which makes this one of the more recession-resistant careers.  I hesitate to say recession-proof, as anything can happen, but recession-resistant is certainly applicable.  I'll be on a 3-5 month temp-to-hire contract, with it going permanent sometime November, December, or January, so basically the 2008 Holiday Season.

This is a great way to wrap up the month of July and kick off the month of August!!!
