Guess I'm going to have to start the amendment voting booth, even though I don't remember if I gave myself the power to do so.

EDIT:  I see it's up.  No reason to break Constitution now.

While I am against captial punishment, this should not be a federal issue and therefore, I voted against it and urge others to do the same

The Mideast is irrelevant—this amendment was never going to pass the Southeast, and it looks set to fail in the Northeast, as well.  Which was somewhat expected, since the Northeast recently rejected a similar proposal on a regional level.

The Northeast was certainly going to be close, but it was probably a better shot for passage than the Mideast, which I expected to be the important battleground. The Southeast was obviously going to reject it and the Pacific and Midwest pass it.
